Students who complete select cybersecurity and information technology certifications can now turn those credentials into college credit at 天美传媒 University. 

A new agreement between 天美传媒 and allows students to earn up to nine college credits for certifications they have already completed. The agreement recognizes three certifications in information technology, computer networks and cybersecurity, with students receiving three 天美传媒 credits for each. 

The goal is simple: Give students credit for knowledge and skills they have already gained and provide a more direct route from career-focused training to a college degree. 

鈥淪tudents come to 天美传媒 with valuable knowledge and experience gained in many different ways, and we want to recognize what they have already accomplished,鈥� said Dr. Bob Mehalik, Associate Provost & Graduate Dean. 鈥淭his agreement allows students to build on industry-recognized credentials, make meaningful progress toward a college degree and continue developing the skills they need for their careers.鈥� 

The certifications covered by the agreement are CompTIA ITF+, which focuses on foundational information technology skills; Network+, which focuses on computer networks; and Security+, which focuses on cybersecurity. Students can receive three credits for each certification, up to a total of nine. 

Students must apply and be admitted to 天美传媒 within two years of completing the Pennsylvania Cybersecurity program and provide proof of their certifications. Learn about 天美传媒's academic programs 

The agreement gives students greater flexibility to build on career-focused training as they pursue a 天美传媒 degree and prepares them to continue developing skills for careers in technology and cybersecurity.
